Gauteng: At 10H32 Tuesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Wierda Road near the N14 highway in Monument Park Pretoria.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light delivery vehicle and a truck were involved in a collision.
Medics found the driver of the bakkie also the only occupant had sustained critical injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention.
A Netcare 911 helicopter ambulance had been activated and was standing by on scene while the fire and rescue services used hydraulic tools to free the adult male from the wreckage.
Sadly the patients condition rapidly deteriorated and was declared deceased on the scene.
