Somizi reveals he flew troubled Khanyi Mbau to Cape Town on New Years’ Eve

Somizi Mhlongo booked his friend actress Khanyi Mbau a flight to Cape Town on New Years’ Eve because he didn’t want her to be alone, revealed in the latest episode of his reality show which aired on Showmax on Wednesday 1 June.

Somizi is on the tennis court with a few of his friends when he gets a call from actress Khanyi Mbau… in tears. The media personality explained that she was supposed to book a jet to Cape Town but it was not booked. So, he booked her a flight.

“She was supposed to book a jet and the jet was not booked. Then I wanted to find out what happened,” he said.

“Can I make plans and you fly out here now? You can’t be alone. No man don’t cry I’m sorry! Okay give me an hour… I’m making a plan right now,” he continued.

The media personality said that he could relate to what the actress was going through.

“I can relate to what she is going through. Sometimes when you go through stuff you just want to be alone… but she is alone on New Year’s Eve,” he said.

“Don’t worry about anything else. I’ll send you details and make your way to the airport,” he continued.

Somizi then hinted that he and Khanyi had a falling out in a preview for next week’s episode.

Twitter users thought that the Idols SA judge was a good friend but slammed Khanyi for not showing up.
