Somizi Mhlongo has been on Metro FM for a couple of years and during his time on the radio station, he has been on three shows. The star started his journey with the station co-hosting a show with Khanyi Mbau and Ntombi Mzolo and after a few months, the show was cancelled and he was moved to the Fresh Breakfast Show.
In April, it was announced that Somizi would be leaving The Fresh Breakfast Show to join The Bridge with Lerato Kganyago and Dineo Ranaka. On his Instagram live, the star opened up about how he misses the show and the need to grow in his radio career:
“I miss the Fresh Breakfast Show but truth be told I wasn’t really growing there. I was learning a lot from Fresh but it was time for me to grow my radio career. It wasn’t going to happen there because I was really just a contributor,” he shared.
It looks like the star is ready for the change in his life, on his first day at The Bridge, the media personality posted a video of himself dancing and seemingly excited for the new chapter in his life.
He wrote on his instagram, ‘Walking into a new day new radio show like……. @metrofmsa the Bridge’
