1. Oil cleansing
This is a method where you mix a combination of oils depending on your skin type. For example, a 1:3 ratio of castor oil and olive oil would be suitable for combination skin.

2. Honey
Natural honey is known for its anti-inflammatory properties as well as being good for skin, especially sensitive skin. The trick with this one is to keep it on your skin for about five to 10 minutes.

3. DIY cleansing wipes
These are cleansing wipes made with coconut oil, castor oil and witch hazel. You mix these in a small jar with cotton pads in it. This mixture is made with two teaspoons of coconut oil, preferably organic and cold-pressed, and one teaspoon of castor oil. Witch hazel has been touted as a natural face cleaner – you add two tablespoons of it in this method.

Disclaimer: witch hazel may not be suitable for all skin types so use with caution.

Finish by double cleansing to remove all the oil.
