Man injured after falling off rocks

KwaZulu-Natal: At 07H59 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a drowning at the Margate pier at Lawrence Rocks on the KZN South Coast.

Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male had fallen approximately three meters off the rocks and had sustained moderate injuries after he broke his ankle.

The patient was treated on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and then carried to safety by Margate Lifeguards and Wolf Security.

Once stabilised the patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

KwaZulu-Natal: Two people had sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle rollover on an unnamed gravel road in Wednesday in Mvutshini near Margate on the KZN South Coast.
