A 21-year-old Mvurwi man who was battling for life at Parirenyatwa hospital after a severe attack by three suspects in ward one Suoguru township, Mvurwi, over a pr0stitute has been discharged from hospital.

Although he is out of the hospital, Barara is yet to speak and walk on his own.Speaking to this reporter his grandmother only identified as Gogo vaNyonyinyo said she is still puzzled about the who case since her grandson is the only one who can reveal what happened to him.


The whole family is puzzled about the story since the victim is the only person who can help us understand what happened to him,” she said.

Bulawayo24.com visited Nigel (Nyonyinyo) Barara at his homestead in Rusunguko phase one and found him on a stretcher.

She added that she was called around 03:00am on the fateful day by people who positively identified her grandson before she sought for transport to carry him to hospital.

“On the fateful day l was called around 03:00 am by a good Samaritan, when l went on the scene l found him laying motionless, l cried and prayed to God to keep him alive before begging a certain pastor to carry us to the hospital.”

Meanwhile, the suspects Jane Jijima (61), Oscar Manyika (21) and Oliver Nyamande (33) were remanded in custody 24 October by Bindura magistrate Mr Nickson Mangoti on attempted murder charge.
