KwaZulu-Natal collision update: At 08H22 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision on the M7 Eastbound near the Bellville offramp, Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that multiple vehicles including a tanker and construction truck were involved in a collision resulting in the vehicles bursting into flames.
Fire and Rescue Services, South African Police Services, Rescue Technicians and Paramedics all rushed to the scene to assist.
At least six people had sustained moderate injuries, two patients had sustained serious injuries and sadly one person, an adult male was declared deceased in a truck.
Two Medical helicopters had airlifted the two seriously injured patients to hospital.
The road has been closed off in both directions by authorities.

Singer Zandi Khumalo has responded to recent reports, which claimed Senzo Meyiwa was allegedly shot while trying to intervene in a fight between herself and ex-boyfriend Longwe Twala.
Senzo was shot at Kelly Khumalo and Zandi’s mother’s home in Vosloorus in 2014 in an alleged botched robbery. However, five years later, no-one has been brought to book. Read more
