SIGNING to a label was supposed to change Lisa Mbali’s life. But since she joined Ambitiouz Entertainment, she has only had disappointment.
This weekend, Lisa wrote on Twitter that her mum was in hospital because of the label.
She later deleted the tweet and told the SunTeam she didn’t want her mom in the public eye because she wasn’t well. I can’t disclose the name of the hospital. It is a build-up of a lot of things, especially contractually.
Lisa said when she joined the label, she didn’t think she’d become a big star. “I am just disappointed with how things have been run by the label.
There is no transparency. I have only released one song and been featured on three and I have been with them for three years, going on four next year. Lisa said she was struggling because she had no income and was taking on a lot of debt.
“ I haven’t received or seen any financial reports, so I don’t know how much I owe the company or how much is owed to me. Lisa told the SunTeam she had not made a decision on whether or not to leave the label. Ambitiouz Entertainment boss Kgosi Mahumapelo said: “Unfortunately, we won’t be able to comment.
