Lira, real name Lerato Molapo sang at the RMB Starlight Classics, which took place in Johannesburg. The singer suffered a stroke over a year ago and it affected her ability to talk and sing. Years ago, she toured various media platforms, to talk about her healing journey. Lira says she can’t speak smoothly, but she’s trying and she’s yet to resume her singing career.
Over the weekend, Lerato who was a guest at the aforesaid show, and was urged to sing alongside Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha and Sunnyboy Vincent Dladla.
I had a stroke last year and I have been learning to speak, I’m in no way ready to sing, but I’m willing to try,” she said before attempting to sing.
Katlego Maboe who hosted the show brought her up on stage and the singer wowed the audience with her lovely performance.
