Woman injured in Lion’s Head fall

Western Cape: At 09H57 Sunday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of falls at Lion’s Head hiking trail in Cape Town.

Reports from the scene indicate that a 21-year-old female fell approximately thirteen meters.

The patient was found to have sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilize her.

The Western Cape Department of Health Air Mercy Services helicopter airlifted the patient off the mountain to an awaiting ambulance who transported her to hospital.
