Kaizer Chiefs 1 – 0 Golden Arrows #AbsaPrem

Kaizer Chiefs increased their lead at the top to 10 points this weekend, with more pressure on Mamelodi Sundowns to keep up the chase.

Chiefs secured a 1-0 win this weekend through Lebogang Manyama, who found the back of the net for Amakhosi in added time against Head Coach Steve Komphela’s Golden Arrows side.

The Soweto side is now 10 points clear from second-placed Sundowns, who do, however, have a game in hand.

Following closely on the league standings is SuperSport United at third-placed, just one point away from Sundowns, although, this after playing two more games than the Brazilians.

Orlando Pirates are also not too far off, as they’ve entered the top four following a win over AmaZulu FC on Saturday, which sees them just one point away from third-placed SuperSport.

While the race for the title continues, Masandawana will only return to league action on February 15 against Chippa United, as they are still underway with CAF Champions League commitments, with Amakhosi’s next league fixture also scheduled for the same date.
