Limpopo house duo Makhadzi and DJ Call Me are creating a celeb heatwave through hit single Haka Matorokisi which has gotten the likes of EFF leader Julius Malema dancing.
The song became an instant hit as a HakaChallenge broke the internet upon its released last month. The Tshivenda pop sensation is riding the crest at the back of begging a prestigious TSHIMA – Tshivenda music awards.
The sixth edition was held at the Thohoyandou Town Hall were Makhadzi won three awards in the same competition at the celebratory ceremony last month. The 23 -year-old was the headline act as she was in four categories and won two of them with Haka Motorokisi taking home the song of the year.
The two rising stars have already worked with household musos such as Sho Majozi, Dj Tira and King Monada and frequently speak about how proud they are of their heritage on various social media platforms.
