Jabu Mabuza appointed as Eskom’s acting CEO

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan has picked Jabu Mabuza to be Eskom’s Acting CEO. It follows the resignation of Phakamani Hadebe whose tenure will end on 31 July. Mabuza will serve in the role for at least three months.

This comes as Gordhan struggles to find long-lasting solutions for the country’s embattled SOEs.
