BET Africa’s first original drama, Isono (The Sin), was set to air its first episode on Monday 27 July. Unfortunately, the show has now suspended production due to the uncertainty of Covid-19 in the country.

“Due to ongoing uncertainty of Covid-19 in our country, & the fact that we’ve entered a peak phase, we’ve made a decision to temporarily suspend production on the set of ISONO.

Cast & crew’s health and safety remain our 1st priority”, the show’s production house, Clive Morris Productions, announced.
The series features a star-studded cast, including Nthati Moshesh as Mother Mary, Rami Chuene as Jumima and Bohang Moeko as Gabriel Ndlovu.

“Set in the East Rand of Johannesburg, Vosloorus, ISONO is the story of a heroic son (Gabriel) – born into a dysfunctional family – who searches within himself for the strength to stand up against a powerful and evil matriarch (Mother Mary) who will stop at nothing to serve her own needs,” the show said.
