A 26-year-old man accused of r@ping and killing a 7-year-old girl will appear before the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
At the first court appearance, scores of community members protested outside court saying that he should not be granted bail.
According to residents, the suspect lived in the area for a few months with his girlfriend.
The home rented by the suspect belonged to his girlfriends parents.
