HHP’s memorial service in Pictures

HHP’s memorial service in Pictures. Fans, friends and family gathered at Newtown Music Factory (Johannesburg) on Tuesday to pay tribute to hip-hop artist, Jabulani Tsambo.

Affectionately known by his fans as “Jabba,” the musician who uses the stage name HHP (Hip Hop Pantsula) died on Wednesday. He was 38.

The cause of death is not yet known. Another memorial will take place in his hometown Mahikeng, on Thursday. The music legend will be laid to rest on Saturday. The family released a statement, saying:

“[We] would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for all the messages of condolences and for all the love and support received during this difficult time.” “Jabulani has left an unforgettable mark in the lives of millions of people who have had the privilege and honour of knowing him personally and through his craft.”

Local celebrities who attended the memorial service included Cassper Nyovest, Vuyolwethu Ngcukana and Max-Hoba.

Family, friends and industry peers spoke fondly of HHP, with a former teacher saying: “I feel stunned, dazed and cheated”.
