At 00H16 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N17 City Deep, Johannesburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control resulting in a rollover.
The patient an adult male believed to be in his mid thirties and was also the only person in the vehicle sustained critical injuries and required Advanced life support intervention to stabilise him while the Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to extricate the patient from the vehicle.
Due to the nature of his injuries the Netcare 1 Specialised Helicopter Air Ambulance was activated to airlift him to a specialist facility for the care he needed.
All relevant authorities were on scene.
