Klerksdorp man arrested for heavily punching girlfriend

A 30-year-old man in Klerksdorp was arrested by olice in connection with the murder of his girlfriend on March 31 2024. The suspect and his friends were allegedly gathering at a friend’s residence in Brakspruit, an area outside of Klerksdorp, when a fight started between the suspect and the victim.

The provincial police commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, applauded police for their quick reaction in arresting the suspect. Lt. Gen. Kwena urged the community to work their differences out in a calm way and to avoid creating violent situations.
