Dreadlock care tips:
1. Apply a leave-in conditioner and massage your scalp to maintain the blood circulation. This will stimulate natural oil production and prevent dryness and breakage.

2. Wash your hair at least once a week with a residue-free shampoo. Gently massage your scalp and let the shampoo soak into your dreads. Rinse well and towel dry.

3. Don’t retwist more than once every three to four weeks. If done too often, it can cause breakage and thinning at the root.

4. Sleep with a silk head wrap or satin bonnet to retain moisture in your locs. Locs tend to shed a lot, so protecting your edges, scalp and locs is crucial.

5. Dreadlocks require products that don’t leave residue or contain harsh chemicals. Look for ones containing natural ingredients that will nourish and protect your hair.
