Generations fans complain: We miss the Old Generations

Although Generations The Legacy is still watched by many South Africans some of its fans decided to walk down memory lane to remember some of the cast members from the older version of the show.

Twitter users could not hide how they miss the old Generations and thanks to one tweep a great feeling of nostalgia came rushing into many people’s memory and timeline when they posted a picture of Kenny and Dineo Mashaba played by Katlego Danke and Seputla Sebogodi.

Other tweeps shared the same sentiments, one person even posted a video of the old Generations’ intro title sequence which showed the faces of prominent actors like Menzi Ngubane who played the role of Sibusiso Dlomo, Connie Fergurson who played the role of Karabo Moroka and Sophie Ndaba who played the role of Queen Moroka.

Some even remember the various storylines and how Katlego Danke was the slay queen of that time, who confused the whole Mashaba family.

However, others pointed out how unprofessional the new Generations is as one tweep posted a picture of Rapulana Seiphemo who plays the role of Tau Mogale in Generations (The Legacy) on a phone call but with a cellphone showing a call log.

Furthermore, some are of the view that Generations (The legacy) doesn’t deserve a primetime slot at 8 pm while some regard it as boring and monotonous compared to the old one.

Generations revamped and changed to Generations (The Legacy) after the Executive Producer of the soapie –  Mfundi Vundla fired sixteen of its main actors who included Katlego Danke, Menzi Ngubane and Sophie Ndaba in 2014.
