Luxury owner run boutique lodge seeking to employ an Financial/Admin Manager.
You would need to have:
· Highly effective & super-efficient admin/financial manager required
· A post graduate diploma or similar qualification in accounting; office management & hospitality or similar
· At least 8 years’ experience as an accountant and assistant to MD or a similar position.
· In-depth knowledge & understanding of Innkeeper software is essential.
· Pastel Payroll & Pastel Accounting knowledge essential
· VAT; UIF; PAYE monthly & annual submissions
· Be able to prepare books to balance sheet & management accounts on a monthly basis
· To be well presented, professional & excellent communicator.
· To be courteous with an even temperament.
· Very strong organizational & administrative skills.
· Must have a proven track record of meeting deadlines & ability to handle & work well under pressure
· Computer literate and exceptional eye for detail & telephone skills.
· Experience in staff managements; HR & payroll
The secretarial & management function will include, but not be limited to:
· Dealing with day to day issues and providing feedback to the MD
· Daily management of admin staff
· Maintain efficient & accurate filing systems, electronic & paper files.
· To develop & improve all efficiencies in the business by assisting the MD with implementations & responsibilities
The candidate must be able to:
· Maintain the strictest confidentiality at all times
· Attention to detail in terms of content & accuracy of all correspondence & communication
· Possess excellent interpersonal & communicative skills and an ability to integrate in to all levels of the lodge
· Show high levels of organisational skills and efficiency
· Have a thorough understanding of systems & process and be able to follow through & ensure standards are achieved
· Be calm & productive under pressure
· Be proactive & resourceful
· Possess excellent customer service / interaction skills
· Be able to work well under pressure, both as part of a team and also working on own initiative
· Must be solution driven
· Flexibility of job duties / attitude & hours is a must
· Clear understanding of luxury & what it entails
· Social media experience will be advantageous
