Economist Lumkile Mondi says although the economy has shown an improvement in the third quarter, the country isn’t out of the woods.
Mondi was commenting on what South Africans can expect in 2019.
“The new growth path is yet to show the path. Remember after two consecutive quarters of negative growth in 2018 in the third quarter we had a huge jump which took us away from recession. This is an early face of economic development. I would not be as positive as the president [Cyril Ramaphosa].”
