Eastern Cape pupil dies after being bullied

I want to be done, I feel so empty, I want to die and rest in peace so that I can be free. These were the last heartbreaking words of a 16-year-old girl who died last week.

The Grade 10 pupil from Bisho High School in the Eastern Cape took her own life allegedly after being bullied by a teacher and her peers.

It’s alleged they called her a witch for having an ancestral calling.

Vuyiseka Mboxela, Eastern Cape Education Department’s spokesperson, said: “Condolences to the family that lost her life through bullying that took place in her high school.
