The trial date for Nicholas Ninow, accused of raping a 7-year-old girl in the bathroom of a Dros restaurant in Pretoria has been set for 9 September.
Ninow who was arrested after the incident appeared in court on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old has been declared fit to stand trial after his defence team had asked the court to send him for a 30-day mental observation at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital.
Ninow’s legal team also argued that he has a history of mental illness and they’ve also admitted that he’s been a drug user since he was fourteen.
