Position Purpose: To safely transport cargo from one point to another using a hoist and trailer to ensure a continuous flow in operations. Position outputs: Obtain document for shift work. Obtain checklist from ABM. Perform Daily task and record discrepancies. Obtain shift norm from CC. Report all incidents/accidents. Continuously check vehicle for defects. Check tonnage of cargo. Sign on to the operating system(Navis). Follow on screen directives using RDT which generates the moves of cargo. Load cargo. Acknowledge task completed at the end of instruction cycle. Qualifications & Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Matric or NQF 04 equivalent with a minimum of 2 years driving experience. or Grade 10/ NQF 02 with a minimum of 3- 5 years driving experience Must have a code EC drivers’ licence. Must have a valid PDP(at the time of advert). 6 Weeks Transnet Internal Drivers’ course will be an added advantage.
Competencies: KNOWL: EDGE REQUIRED: Safety Standards, SKILLS REQUIRED. Literacy. Numeracy, Communication Apply procedures, Basic technical, ATTRIBUTES, Attention to detail. Must be able to read and write.
