COVID-19 death toll rises to 25, confirmed cases to 2028

The Department of Health released a statement on Saturday updating the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,028. This is an increase of 25 cases from 2,003. The total number of tests administered is 75,053.

Another death has been recorded, bringing the total number of fatalities to 25. The deceased patient is a 61-year-old male from the Western Cape. His underlying medical conditions included diabetes, hypertension, and obesity,” the statement read.
