Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Chargehand Diamond Drilling, to be based at Fairview near Barberton, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will report to the Shift Supervisor Diamond Drilling.
Minimum Requirements…
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
License to Supervise Certificate or equivalent supervisory qualification
Certified competent as a Diamond Drilling Operator
Proficient in Microsoft Office [Word and Excel]
Written and verbal skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
3 year’s related working experience as an Operator Diamond Drill
Previous working experience with the following machinery; S36 Percussion Drilling; Kempe U3-9B Air & Electro-Hydraulic; LM 75 & 90 Hydraulic; Lib Hole Drilling; Sealing hi-pressure water fishers and or intersections
Mechanical/engineering background will have an added advantage
Job Specification…
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Plan and control crew
Coordinate mining activities, logistical activities, and resources through planning, scheduling, and communications
Achieve monthly targets in terms of production and safety
Conduct legal inspections
Effectively complete administration tasks
Conduct assigned work in a satisfactory and competent manner
Comply with MRC’s and Clients Health and Safety policy and procedures
