The chairperson of the Fair-Trade Independent Tobacco Association (Fita), Sinenhlanhla Mnguni says government must allow the sale of cigarettes. The fiscus is also losing billions of rand which if they will be collecting if legitimate manufactures were allowed to trade,” Mnguni said.
Mnguni said Fita was concerned at the sale of Vaping products despite a lockdown. The sale of cigarettes and alcohol has been prohibited as the country deals with the spread of COVID-19.
