Man Utd make new Bruno Fernandes bid

Manchester United remain in talks to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon and latest reports from Portgual this morning claim the Premier League side have finally increased their offer, submitting an improved bid of €55m plus bonuses.

Standard Sport understands Arsenal are working on a loan deal for Pablo Mari with a view to a permanent move. The Spanish defender arrived in London today with Gunners sporting director Edu on Saturday.

The Daily Express meanwhile claim Tottenham have opened talks to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid before next week’s transfer deadline.

Michy Batshuayi and Fikayo Tomori scored in either half as Chelsea beat Championship side Hull to reach the FA Cup fifth round.

The Blues took an early lead when Batshuayi’s strike deflected off Hull’s Ryan Tafazolli and the ball flew beyond wrong-footed goalkeeper George Long.
