Bosasa says there’s no contract between the company and President Cyril Ramaphosa’s son, Andile.
The company, now known as African Global Operations, responded to a Promotion of Access to Information Act request from DA leader Mmusi Maimane.
It says there’s no contract or a R500,000 invoice provided by the president’s son. Maimane had been following up on a question posed to the President in Parliament about a payment to his son Andile.
Ramaphosa initially responded by saying the amount was payment for consultancy work carried out by his son for Bosasa.
He later issued a correction, saying he’d learnt that the money was to fund his election campaign.
Maimane now says he’s asked DA lawyers for legal advice on the way forward on the matter.
