KwaZulu-Natal: At 09H44 Monday morning Netcare 911 received a call for advanced life support assistance on the R102 Eastbound near King Shaka International Airport.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 34-year-old male had fallen off the back of a bakkie allegedly while trying to grab his cellphone.
The patient had sustained serious traumatic injuries.
Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioners and RUSA medics managed to stabilize the patient.
Due to the nature of the man’s injuries, a Netcare 911 Helicopter Ambulance was dispatched to airlift him in a critical condition to the specialist facility for further treatment.
