TV presenter Thembisa Mdoda is set to host a new talent search show, Old Mutual Amazing Voices. The star will co-host the show with Elikkem Kumordzie from Ghana. The pan-African singing competition will see contestants from nine African cities – Accra, Kumasi, Mombasa, Nairobi, Bulawayo, Harare, Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg – square off against each other for the grand prize of $100 000 (R1.5 million).
Amazing Voices will seek to unearth unsigned music groups across three genres – gospel, pop and rhythm and blues (R&B) with amazing voices. The show will see celebrity selectors from each of the four countries selecting three groups from each genre after mass auditions to steer them through the elimination round before the winning group is chosen.
I hope you’re keeping a close eye on the groups cause in Eps 13 you will get to vote for your favorites!! 😅😅#Amazingvoicesafrica#oldmutualamazingvoices pic.twitter.com/J7KkzbcES4
