AKA goes back Home

AKA was in the Mother City this past weekend to perform at one of Cape Town’s top tier venues.

Cape Town was most certainly the place to be this past weekend with all our favourite Mzansi celebs flying down for the Match In Africa Charity Event but AKA was also preparing for another kind of big-league performance: at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

AKA

For those who don’t know, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is Cape Town’s very own Madison Square Gardens where musicians from all over the world get to grace the stage for an hour. The venue has had performers like Lira, Kwesta, Micheal Buble, Mi Casa, Lady Zamar, Tresor, Boney M and many more.

Tickets are always sold out within minutes and of course, the shows are in the afternoon on a chilled, summer Sunday and well…you know the vaaabs.

Last week, AKA let his Cape Town fans know that he would be heading to the Mother City to perform at a venue that he has been dying to perform at for years and now the opportunity had finally arrived.

And in true Supa Mega fashion, King Forbes did Super Mega tingz. The fans were truly living out their dreams once AKA hit the stage rapping the classics.

Seems like his fans in Cape Town were feeling a little abandoned since AKA hasn’t had made an appearance to perform here in a minute but one thing is for certain – the Megacy fans are 100% loyal and some of you hate to see it.
