Four people were left injured yesterday after a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle at the Beyers Naude and Malope Road intersection in Randpark Ridge.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle in the centre median while the taxi was found in the right-hand lane of the road.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found that three people had sustained moderate injuries while a fourth had sustained more serious injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured man, believed to be in his 50s, with pain-relief medication.
Once treated, the patients were transported to a nearby hospitals for further treatment. The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
