South Africa’s total number of confirmed #COVID19 cases is 968 563, the total number of deaths is 25 983 and the total number of recoveries is 822 978.

A cumulative total of 6 325 784 tests have been conducted with 56 008 tests conducted since the last report

Regrettably, we report 326 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 109, Free State 4, Gauteng 22, Kwa-Zulu Natal 81 and Western Cape 110.

This brings the total deaths to 25 983.

Deputy President, David Mabuza is urging South Africans to remain optimistic during this difficult time.

Mabuza says this season should be seen as a season of hope.

He’s also reiterated calls for people to continue practising covid-19 safety protocols.
