SABC to launch an Akhumzi internship programme #AkhumziJezileMemorial

During Akhumzi’s memorial service held at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Gauteng, Mam’ Clara, head of SABC 1 spoke about Akhumzi’s ultimate goal which was for him to become a media mogul.

In honour of his memory and his love for the Arts, the SABC has decided to empower the youth with an internship programme named after the late Akhumzi.

Mam’ Clara mentioned that Akhumzi took on as much work as he could in order to get as much knowledge as he needed to achieve his goals.

The SABC then announced that it will be launching a 3-month-long Akhumzi Jezile Director Internship for young people with the necessary credentials to shadow a production team and learn the ropes in order to follow in Jezile’s footsteps.

Artists such as the likes of Mam’ Hlengiwe Mhlaba also attended the memorial service.
